People were once a single community, and ALLAH (c.c) sent prophets as bearers of good news and as warners. He revealed with them the Scripture of truth to judge between people concerning that in which they differed. (Qur'an, 2:213)

Prophets are individuals chosen by God as conveyors of His message, and they have accompanied the history of humanity from the very beginning. Belief in the prophets is one of the six articles of faith in Islam.

In Islam, the first human being, Adam, is considered a prophet, and according to the Qur'an, a prophet was sent to every community that emerged after him.
